The principals of C2it Events have more than 40 years of experience in the event planning industry. With the knowledge of all aspects of event planning, from initial theme concept to final billing, we will offer a solid base of information from which the customer can draw.
CiCi Baker, Principal
CiCi began her career in the industry with a Los Angeles DMC. In 1987, she joined CMI/Carlson Marketing Group as an Account Manager and within five years became Vice President of Operations. She has managed events of 30 to 10,000 people in venues throughout the world for such high tech luminaries as Sun Microsystems, Apple Computer, Microsoft, Amdahl, HP, Intel, 3Com, and Oracle. In 1998, Pepsi Cola hired her to handle logistics of their $25 million dollar 100th anniversary celebration on Hawaii's Big Island. There she personally "kidgloved" the handling of Pepsi's entertainment and guest speakers: Ray Charles, Riverdance, Rolling Stones, George and Barbara Bush, and Margaret Thatcher - much like she treats her clients today.
Starting The Sierra Event Company, a Lake Tahoe event and destination management company, in 2002, CiCi used her expertise to consult with companies who were opening up or expanding their event management departments. Her goal is to bring an unparalleled level of sophistication and superb service to programs and events locally, nationally and internationally through C2it Events.
Gray Solar, Principal
Gray's career in the travel industry spans 25 years in the San Francisco marketplace. Beginning as an Asian-American Exchange Program Officer with The Asia Foundation, and soon thereafter as Tours Coordinator and Travel Consultant at Bon Voyage Travel, she managed and escorted upscale tours to Asia and Europe. Upon joining CMI/Carlson Marketing Group in 1987 as an Account Manager, she managed domestic and international sales meetings, conferences and incentive programs of all sizes for industry leaders such as Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems, Amdahl, and Jaguar.
Subsequently, she split six years as Operations Manager and Senior Program Developer/Analyst for Carlson's West Coast Travel Division where she honed already sharp negotiation skills that continue to benefit clients to this day. Gray joined the Sierra Event Company in 2003, serving as Director of Purchasing and Planning based in the Napa/Sonoma office. She is excited about the endless possibilities for this new venture, C2it Events, to deliver high quality programs and events across the globe.
